Event Description

National Deadline: August 22, 2014 - The exhibit is open to all artists living and working in North America. Each entry must be wholly designed and executed by the artist. Paintings shown in previous KWS National Exhibitions are not eligible.

Only original paintings in primarily aqueous medium (no water-based oils) on paper are acceptable. No computer-generated images accepted. All entries must not have been shown previously at a KWS competition. Prices must conform to Entry Card. All work should be framed, matted with white mats, and glazed with plexiglas.

Exhibition takes place November 21, 2014 - January 4, 2015.

AWARDS
$30,000 in cash and purchase awards are anticipated.

JUDGING

All entries will be judged from digital images (JPEG format on CD) or 35mm slides.

ENTRY PROCEDURES

Each artist may enter up to three (3) artworks. All entries must include only the following:

  • A completed Registration Form and Juror Notification Card
  • Signed Exhibition Agreement
  • Labeled CD or slides
  • Entry fee
  • SASE for the return of slides for unaccepted work.


DELIVERY & RETURN OF ARTWORK
Entries may be shipped or hand-delivered to The Wichita Center for the Arts. All works must be received no later than November 10, 2014.

SALES
All artwork included in the exhibition must be for sale. A 40% commission is charged on all sales and patron purchase awards from this exhibition.

Founded in 1920, The Wichita Center for the Arts (formerly the Wichita Art Association) is Wichita's oldest and most comprehensive visual and performing arts organization and the region's only arts center that includes a school.
