Is this still a viable group?

I just wanted to let you know a fantastic sculpture Julianne is being a Featured Artist this week in the group TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. Since you are all involved in this field I would love for you to check out her feature and offer any feedback or help ideas. This is one of our first sculptor's feature and I would really love to see it be successful! Our group is different from yours-both are great-I would just like to see more of a diverse type of artist being able to be Featured and receive the type of attention they deserve! They only have one week as a Feature (as some may know) unlike here where there is an ongoing monologue of help! Please give Julianne 10 minutes of your time! Thanks so much!-Sloane

Finally made the decision to retire from something I didn't want to do in the first place. So far I have been in the studio each and everyday enjoying the intuitive approach. I have several pieces going on at the same time and at each turn, an interesting option is presented. Belt tightening will be necessary but I have faith that it will work out. I don't wear a watch anymore and I am enjoying my music.

Thanks for creating this group Christopher. My sculptures are kinetic multimedia installations. They have a moving component powered manually or by electric motors. Audio processing brings the sound generated by these machines to life. The audio component can be made available to viewers either through headphones or speakers.

Hey Out there!
It's good to know that there are working sculptors all over the place. I am a woodworker/carver now doing hand-carved knot and burl vessels and sculptural furniture (tables mostly). Just joined this group; looking forward to chatting with you.

Sculpture depot doesn't seem to have a complete list of the Ron Young patinas on their website so you have to call them. I haven't had time to check out Ron Young's demonstrations on youtube.

Ron Young has a whole line of cold and hot patina treatments for all kinds of metals. I personally have no experience with them but he comes thru town every once in a while to give work shops and I plan on taking one. There is a supplier of all the sculpture tools and materials you may need at

http://www.sculpturedepot.net/

I think that they have all of the books and DVD's that you would need to get started doing the patinas.
