I’m happy to see you continuing to post updated work on the site.  There’s quite an array of styles, aesthetic and conceptual approaches; from caricature/cartoon to abstracted figures and representational landscape.  But I’m still most attracted to the earlier seascape Atl. Coast.  The quiet space achieved by the muted color palette and large proposition of sky resonates with me as an actual space rather than an idyllic setting. The wispy saplings blown back by wind intimate elemental forces at play against a rocky Atlantic shoreline.  The painting looks to be created from water media, with a nice balance between areas of transparent wash and more opaque sections of darker pigment build up. The two faint cloud shapes coming in from the right also formally balance the thin trio of trees on the left.  While these visual counterpoints appear purposely orchestrated, there is still a sense of fortuitous, unplanned natural composition.
