Thank you..this is actually a self portrait. I am inspired by Vintage Characters.

I thought of a female Brando in a possible remake of "The Wild One".

Curator’s Comment:

I’m struck by several compelling threads in your work, which link raw sexuality, sultry possibility and temptation with macabre figural distortion.  The rich value contrast in this piece delivers sharp black and white contrast with a full range of misty greys.  While the model’s cigarette doesn’t appear to give off any direct smoke, the ambience of the piece overall suggests a smoky haze. Her portrait is a wonderful combination of lush old Hollywood style glamour and fetish.  The woman’s dark full lips part slightly, aiding the eroticization of her slightly askew gaze.  The loosely slanted strapped hat also offers an androgynous idol; she appears more collective fantasy than individual.   I don’t know that ‘web’ has any relevance in terms of title, but I can concede to a mood of seductive (albeit enjoyable) entrapment.
