The Journey

Working with an intangible medium allows for easier transfer of psychological and emotional aspects hidden within a personal reality. I use photographic and digital processes, a medium of information (bits of light and time that are encoded). Expressing visceral reflections of our world, the resulting images are taken from the mind and soul. With a return to concepts of beauty and the figurative style of Mannerists, I embrace modern technology to create a retrospect image. Using painting skills to composite the digital image, I construct a ‘painting of photographs’, or rather a photograph that interacts like a painting.

The Journey~
When darkness closes in and we are drowning, all we have is perseverance and hope, else despair wins out. All have pain and we all fail, but it is in darkness that we become strong. For without darkness how could we recognize the light? If we endure, have faith and embrace hope, will not The Light come to our rescue?
