Capturing moments of movement in dance fostered the broader concept I'm still inspired by today. I am captivated by the fleeting moments, however casual, that are most often missed in real life. I look forward to hearing your point of view in the future. Thanks again.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work.  This drawing was done a number of years ago. Though I was happy with it then, its energy had been lost for me-I thought- so having it come back to life with new points of view is a wonderful gift. Thank you again!

Thank you for inviting me to look at your work.  Dance has a beautiful sense of motion.  There’s an academic strength to the proportions and anatomy of the figure, but the fluid gesture and calligraphic line work is what gives life to the form. The sweeping circular shape of the motion almost obscures the realism present in the careful rendering.  I believe this is what heightens the piece emotionally.  I also enjoy the smudged edges, which visually break from the thinner hatched lines.  Your photograph titled Julie has some of the same assured and confident attributes, as the representation is subservient to the more dramatic design solution.
