This small scale Italian Landscape painting came up randomly on the site today.  I was attracted to the island-like characteristic of the central property perched atop the gold and blue rolling hills. The pinkish color interspersed throughout smaller patches of the land adds a warm tonality to the piece, and creates a tinted primary triadic color scheme.  The brushstrokes offer an interesting overall density of surface despite the emptiness of the ground above/behind the house structure.  While there is some atmospheric perspective in the contrast of the foreground, the view appears more aerial in nature.  Looking through your other piece on the site, I remembered admiring your three dimensional vessels. This landscape seems like an outlier even among the other two-dimensional pieces, as the space is more expansive, and not tightly focused on a primary subject. I see it was posted a couple of years ago, and am wondering if you continued in this vein?  In either case, I would love to see your new work on the site.
