This mixed media drawing came up randomly on the site today. While it shares the same bold color blocking of shapes in other pieces you have posted on the site, the relatively muted color palette softens the hard edges of the organic subject matter. I like that the blue exterior frame is the same tinted hue found in the interior of the abstracted figure. The tempered color envelops the form, along with the absence of hard, articulated facial features. The overlapping of the elongated rectangles and color shift that appears within their intersection is reminiscent of stained glass, which imbues the piece with a faintly religious character. I recognize these drawings were posted some time ago, and would enjoy seeing how your work has evolved over recent years.
