Dear Amber, Thank you, misspelled weld and the only reason that I am commenting on the word is that the brass keys that were combined together were done with a process called braising a process which combines the base metal of the keys (brass) with the filler metal which is also brass, the heat used to fuse the metals is generated by an oxy-acetylene torch. To answer your question it took about a week. The negative heart forms took about two weeks to make. All the best Donald

I know it's a pretty casual shot but you caught some wonderful soft light on it. I like this piece more each time I look at it.

Thank you! I was impressed by your work and I would like to see more. If you are having a show please send me an invitation I will do the same. Money is tight and all artists should support each other and promote sales, no economic bailout for us, we have to do it ourselves.
