The resonance of this Bavarian landscape posted a few years back remains because of the quality of light and still space.  The central vanishing point draws the viewer into the path as we are enveloped by the towering trees.  The contrast between the black silhouettes and textured ground against the misty grey tree line in the distance creates wonderful atmospheric perspective. I wonder if the photograph was manipulated, as the outer edges of the ground curl into a slightly darker shadow. The framing effect on the picture further cradles the open space and makes the road more inviting.  Looking back through your other pieces on the site I remember admiring and commenting on the work entitled In Rome.  It shares a similar compositional dynamic through a central vanishing point and strong bilateral symmetry.  I find it interesting to note this similar visual approach, as the viewer is treated to both the heights of human construction contrasted with natural, and (perhaps) unadulterated majesty. I do hope you continue to post new work on the site.
