Over the years I leaned to play a little piano and learned the basics of composition and studied voice at University. I recall taking one drawing class but not much came of it. I was probably too involved in the musical aspect of creativity.

At 44 years of age, whle working for Corporate America, I decided to teach myself something new. Something that would be creatively expressive yet not requiring years of classroom study. I picked up a book by Lee Hammond, and purchased a set of sketch pencils at my local art store. I began to read the book and draw from the lessons. I left my job with Corporate American and called myself an artist.
