It is interesting to contextualize these mythic poems and stories in the present. I will have to read Commedia, as I'm not familiar with it. I'm tempted to think our civilization has reached new heights of materialism, but recognize there's nothing new under the sun!
Thanks for the discussion Wendy. I appreciate the insight it offers into the creative process. Not everything needs to be explained of course. It is visual communication, and functions on other levels that are archetypal, visual, etc.
