These herons on the sea (Garzas sobre el mar) create an elegant, fluid sculptural relief.  While your accompanying statement suggests the piece was inspired by an older Japanese motif, the translation in the medium offers a more plastic, if not more contemporary form. The triadic relationship between the birds keeps a circular movement in the relief, while the undulating blue currents appear to interrupt rather than support their flight patterns.  I also enjoy the small white articulated tendrils that imply crests of the waves or sea foam.  For me they also take on a separate and animated spatial characteristic when intertwined with the other elements.  I realize these sculptures were uploaded several years ago.  I am curious to see more of your work- and what global inspirations may have entered into more recent human and animal figural explorations.
