Dear Kristen: Just wanted to thank you for your review. Please note that when I was placing the vertical "stems" or rods I was thinking about how flowers are placed in a vase, vertical without a precise placement.

I am now working on Drone, a much smaller piece due to a lack of sales.

All the best....

Dennis

Thank you for drawing my attention to this new piece- it did catch my eye when you first posted it.  But it's only when I took a closer look that I fully appreciated the scale noted, and the dramatic upward motion that would likely be evident when viewing the sculpture in person.  The bright red cubes atop the aluminum stems successfully convey an impression of growth if not a floral arrangement. For me the geometry and color bring to mind atomic components or a spatial array.  However, I do concede there is a slightly haphazard organization of the elements, more common in organic configurations and patterns.  To this end the small metal bars in the base nicely echo this grouping, while the glossy black square further anchors the movement.  I believe it shares a fair number of formal concerns with the piece entitled The Black Forest, but with an airier, more buoyant expanse of open space. Both works exhibit a confident verticality which is tethered by the heavily constructed ground.
