Coastal Bluff (best)

I began this 20" x 30" oil while doing a residency on Cape Cod last March. I was deliberately attempting to be influenced by the beautiful ocean around me, capturing the turmoil of the waves bursting upon the rocks and sand. I used a grit based medium with gesso as I prepared the surface to create the texture.
