As Above So Below appears to be bursting from an unseen constraint.  Alternately, the broad sweeping gestures could be growing out of the spidery linear markings and open shapes in the bottom section.  I especially like the color and value relationships between the darker blue-green brushstrokes and the more subtle umber drawing and fluid tonality.  The monotype titled Through the Mists similarly has an interesting disparity between amalgamated ink wash and more accidental line.  The weighting of these dripping lines creates strong vertical emphasis, but this is visually slowed down by the interrupting intervals of blue horizontal strokes. I respond to both of these pieces in particular, along with Harvest Moon, since they beautifully organize what appear to be random occurrences in the paint/monotype process with more controlled and purposeful inscription.
