DESCRIPTION:National Deadline: March 2, 2015 – The Annual Juried Rio
  Brazos Art Exhibition opens April 12th, 2015 at the Dora Lee Langdon 
 Cultural & Educational Center Concert Hall in Granbury, Texas. Open to
  all artists 18 years of age and older. All media will be considered. 
 This could include, but not be limited to, water media, oil, acrylic, 
 pastel, mixed-media, photography, printmaking, graphics, collage, 3-di
 mensional, fabric, etc.\nThe exhibition is supported by the Granbury A
 rts Alliance, the City of Granbury, Tarleton State University, and num
 erous local and regional businesses. The coordinators of this event pl
 an to create an atmosphere that will inspire, educate and entertain as
  well as attract quality art and discriminating buyers.VENUEThe Dora L
 ee Langdon Cultural and Educational Center is nestled one block off Gr
 anbury’s historic square in the Brazos River Valley and serves as a 
 focal point for the fine arts in the Lake Granbury area. The Langdon C
 enter serves as the cultural and educational hub of the downtown area 
 in cooperation with the City of Granbury and Tarleton State University
 .AWARDSAccepted artwork will be selected at the discretion of the juro
 r. Works are grouped according to the type of media received. Approxim
 ately over $5,000 in cash and merchandise awards are anticipated.JUROR
 Randy Bacon has always been attracted to the quality of light, the pre
 cise colors and the big skies of his native state. In communicating a 
 sense of place, Mr. Bacon often draws upon the people and venues of hi
 s life to make paintings where past, present and future become blended
 , where memory and reality connect. Mr. Bacon lives and works at his h
 ome on the courthouse square in Albany, Texas.ELIGIBILITY & REQUIREMEN
 TSOpen to all artists 18 years of age and older. All media will be con
 sidered. This could include, but not be limited to, water media, oil, 
 acrylic, pastel, mixed-media, photography, printmaking, graphics, coll
 age, 3-dimensional, fabric, etc.\n\nEntries must be original, unpublis
 hed and executed within the last two years.\nEntries must not have bee
 n previously exhibited in the RBAE.\nWorks must be suitably framed wit
 h wire hangers (no saw-tooth hangers) and be thoroughly dry.\nPlexigla
 s only, with the exception of pastels (non-soluable surface need not b
 e glazed).\nFramed & hung works may not exceed 50″ in any direction,
  including frame, nor weigh more than 12 lbs.\n3-dimensional works may
  require artist or agent installation followed by height regulation an
 d may not exceed 60″ in any direction.\nAny work differing from slid
 e or digital image will be disqualified.\nThe RBAE reserves the right 
 to refuse any work submitted.\nAll accepted works must remain at the L
 angdon Center for the duration of the judging and exhibit.\n\nENTRYSli
