 oto Contest. This years theme is \"Young Men with Big Dreams\", a call
  for photos highlighting courage, strength, leadership, kindness and t
 he value education has for young boys and men living in low income com
 munities.\nOpen to all photographers. All forms of photographic medium
  are eligible.\nColors of Life - An International Photo Contest provid
 es an opportunity for photographers to submit and exhibit their works 
 in the United States and internationally.\nPRIZES\n\n1st prize winner 
 will receive US$ 1,000 plus a Contest catalog\n2nd prize winner will r
 eceive US$ 750 plus a Contest catalog\n3rd prize winner will receive U
 S$ 500 plus a Contest catalog\nTwo honorable mention awards will recei

 is year’s competition will support the activities of 'Life Pieces To
  Masterpieces', a youth development and education organization that us
 es artistic expression to develop character and leadership, unlock pot
 ential and prepare African American boys and young men (ages 3-25) to 
 transform their lives and communities. Along with art, LPTM students p
 articipate daily in academic tutoring, mentoring, leadership, youth de
 velopment as well as character education and life skills building.\nEX
 HIBITIONS The goal of this year’s competition is to produce a docume
 ntary-style exhibition from the 20 finalist photographs that will be e
 xhibited at Pepco Edison Gallery in Washington DC during October 2014 
 and subsequently in other venues.\nCONTEST GUIDELINES Preferred subjec
 ts for photographs submitted are those focusing on courage, strength, 
 leadership, kindness and the value that education has for boys and you
 ng men living in low-income communities worldwide, and related to the 
 activities, mission and goals of Life Pieces To Masterpieces.\nHOW TO 
 SUBMIT Visit Color of Life website for easy instructions. Entry is by 
 email or regular mail.\nJury review and selection will be completed by
  July 15, 2014. Finalists will be notified by email shortly afterward.
