DESCRIPTION:International Deadline: October 15, 2026 – Since 2007, 
 the Dora Maar House in Ménerbes, France, has offered residencies of o
 ne to two months to mid-career arts and humanities professionals to fo
 cus on their areas of expertise.\r\nThe application cycle for the 2025
  Artists Residency Program is now accepting applications. There is no 
 cost. We provide Fellows with a stipend of $1500 and we provide a trav
 el award of the average fare from their home to Paris.\r\nELIGIBILITYM
 id-career artists and scholars who have submitted a completed applicat
 ion.\r\nBENEFITS\r\n\r\none month in residence at the Dora Maar House\
 r\na private bedroom and bath, and a study or studio in which to work\
 r\nexpenses paid for round-trip travel from a fellow’s home to theDo

  fee\r\n\r\nAbout:Located in Ménerbes, one of the most beautiful vill
 ages in France, this 19th century town house was the property of Gener
 al-Baron Robert (1772-1831), a native of Ménerbes who received numero
 us honors during the Napoleonic wars in Spain, and was bought in 1944 
 by Dora Maar, surrealist artist and photographer. Companion and muse o
 f Picasso from the late 1930s to the early 1940s, following their brea
 kup Dora spent each summer in solitude in Ménerbes. After her death i
 n 1997, an American arts patron, Nancy Brown Negley, bought and renova
 ted the house to create a residency for writers, academics and artists
