DESCRIPTION:National Deadline: August 31, 2014 - IMAGO Foundation for 
 the Arts (IFA) announces a national call for artists for its 9th Annua
 l Open Juried Exhibit - Textile and Fiber Arts, on view October 17 - N
 ovember 8, 2014.\nWork created using or referencing any fiber techniqu
 es and vocabularies, in any material is eligible. Techniques considere
 d are traditional as well as innovative, including weaving, !wining, p
 lating, beading, stitching, felting, dyeing, mitting, crocheting, quil
 ting, spinning, embroidery, surface design, and 3-D mixed media. Mater
 ials considered include cloth, thread, paper, metal, glass, wood, clay
 , plastic, as well as any other material.\nJUROR - Elin Noble The fibe
 r artist Elin Noble lives in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She has spent
  more than 30 years investigating the nuances of applying dyes to clot
 h.\nAWARDS Cash awards will be presented and are determined at the Jur
 or's discretion.\nELIGIBILITY\n\nAll work must have a shipping address
  in the continental USA.\nThe artist must be 18 years of age or older.
 \nAll work must be original.\nWork created under instruction or superv
 ision is not eligible.\nWork must have been completed within the last 
 3 years.\nWork should not have been previously exhibited at IMAGO gall
 ery.\nAll work must be received ready to install. If work requires spe
 cific hanging device or armature, these must be included with clear in
 stallation instructions.\nWork must fit through an average doorway and
  weigh no more than 20lbs.\nIFA Board and Directors are not eligible.\
 nIf the gallery determines that the work received does not represent t
 he images submitted, the gallery has the right not to display the work
 .\n\nFEES Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 works.\nEXHIBITION DETAILS This
  is IMAGO's ninth annual juried exhibit. Imago Foundation for the Arts
  is a non-profit organization serving artists and the community throug
 h visual art programs, literary events and other arts-related initiati
 ves. The organization's goal is to make the arts a visible and active 
 part of our communities.\nAPPLY ONLINE\nSALES IFA retains a 40% commis
 sion on all sales. The gallery handles all sales with the commissions 
 on sales used to support future art programming.\nSHIPPING OF ACCEPTED
  WORK Shipped work will be returned the week of November 10.\nHand Del
 ivery of Work: All work that is hand delivered directly to the gallery
  must be dropped off on: Friday, October 10 or Saturday, October 11 fr
 om noon-8pm.\nIMAGO 36 Market Street Warren, RI 02885\nShipped artwork
 :\n\nAny framed work must use Plexiglas, no glass.\nYour work must be 
 shipped by UPS or US-postal service. ***Fedex will not be accepted.\nA
 ll work must arrive on or before Friday, October 10, 2014.\nThe artist
  must provide a pre-paid return-shipping label so that unsold work can
  be returned at the end of the exhibit.\nNo popcorn packaging please!\
 n\nBecause the gallery is not open everyday of the week, we are asking
  artists to ship their work to Board Member and Co-President, Mary Don
 dero's studio where it can be received and hand carried to the gallery
