SUMMARY:Ivyside Juried Art Competition
DESCRIPTION:International Deadline: March 1, 2014 - Penn State Altoona
  and the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts announces it's an
 nual Ivyside Juried Art Competition. Open to visual artists worldwide 
 working in all media. Entries must have been completed within the last
  two years.Media Specifications: Artists creating original works of ar
 t in any media are encouraged to apply. If awarded, artwork must be su
 itable for installation and must not exceed 84\" in any firm dimension
 . Two-dimensional works must not weigh more than 60 lbs., including fr
 ame, and must be ready to hang with the appropriate attached hardware.
  Three-dimensional works weighing over 80 lbs. must have a base that c
 an be rolled or composed of elements that can be easily moved. Digital
  and non-traditional media will be considered.  Process for Selection:
  Artists will be selected from on-line submissions by a faculty commit
 tee. Up to six artists are awarded annually with a solo gallery exhibi
 tion in one of two gallery spaces (each approximately 13' x 25') at th
 e Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at Penn State Altoona.  
 Entry Fee: There is a $10 online submission fee.  Entry requirements:\
 n- Vitae: One copy, no more than 2 pages. - Artist statement: One copy
 , no more than 1 page. - Images: A maximum of 24 images may be submitt
 ed for review. Video work will also be uploaded for review ((flv, wmv,
  mov) up to 60 MB each).  Acceptance: Artists who are accepted will be
  notified by May 30, 2014.  Delivery of Work: If awarded, artwork may 
 be hand-delivered or shipped prepaid to Ivyside Juried Exhibition, Pen
 n State Altoona. Penn State Altoona will make every effort to cover re
 turn shipping. Final shipping costs to be determined based on availabl
 e budget. Each exhibition will have labels, a poster, email blast, gal
