Water. It may be the single most precious resource we have. It sustains us, surrounds us and, as photographers, fascinates and inspires us. In color or in black-and-white, using tools that range from digital and film cameras to alternative processes, to iPhones - what does WATER mean to you?
In honor of our 25th anniversary: four grand prizes and 5% of water proceeds go to the 'Artists of the World' fund for clean, safe drinking water.
All photographers of any level who are at least 18 years of age as of the date of image submission are eligible.
Open to all photographic imagery that can be defined as depicting "water" as interpreted by the entrant and within the parameters of the categories: Landscape, Portrait, Documentary, or Abstract. You are welcome to enter more than one category
Join and international community of photographers and share your images with distinguished judges: Celine Cousteau, CauseCentric Productions; Sarah Leen, National Geographic magazine; Elizabeth Opalenik, Photographer; Daniel Miller, Duncan Miller Gallery.
There are 4 grand prizes and 46 honorable mentions, with total prize value over $12,000. The 50 winning images are featured in the Santa Fe Workshops online gallery, and 5% of WATER proceeds go to the Artists of the World fund for clean, safe drinking water.
