 io Center is excited to announce that 34+ fellowships are available, i
 ncluding the Rona Jaffe Foundation Fellowship for emerging women write
 rs and 25 merit-based VSC Fellowships open to all!\nYear-round, VSC ho
 sts hundreds of artists and writers from across the country and around
  the world, each of whom receives an individual studio, private room, 
 and all meals. Residencies last from 2-12 weeks and provide uninterrup
 ted time to work, a community of creative peers, and a beautiful villa
 ge setting in northern Vermont.\nIn addition, VSC's program includes a
  roster of Visiting Artists and Writers who offer slide talks/readings
  and individual studio visits/conferences.\nIn 2014, VSC has dramatica
 lly increased the number of VSC fellowships available to all artists a
 nd writers based on merit.\nThe following fellowships are available at
  our October 1, 2014 Deadline:\n\nVermont Studio Center (VSC) Fellowsh
 ips Open to All Twenty-five awards open to all artists and writers, ba
 sed entirely on merit.\nClowes Fund Fellowships Four fellowships, one 
 each for visual artists living in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Indian
 a and Washington. Each award includes a $400 travel stipend.\nOhio Art
 s Council Fellowships Two fellowships, one each for a visual artist an
 d writer, who are recent recipients of OAC Individual Excellence Award
 s. Each award includes an $800 stipend.\nCivil Society Institute Fello
 wship One award for an east coast minority artist with demonstrable fi
 nancial need. Award includes a $500 travel stipend. Applicants to this
  award will receive an application fee waiver with confirmation of eli
 gibility (details for the waiver process are provided within the onlin
 e application).\nRona Jaffe Foundation Fellowship One fellowship for a
 n emerging woman writer who will be a first-time resident at VSC. This
  award includes a stipend of $1,250 to help cover expenses associated 
 with taking the residency, including but not limited to travel, rent, 
 child-care, or to replace lost income.\n\nThe Vermont Studio Center is
  proud to offer nearly $1.4 million annually in fellowships, grant ass
 istance, and work-exchange to make residencies possible for nearly 700
