New Series/Direction: Color Polemics, Orange vs. Black 1A

The basis for these is that I am taking two colors, this case black and orange, and then trying to resolve them using my arsenal of mark-making and abstraction. I plan to do a whole series of these and this is very preliminary. It is in acrylic and in a 11x14 sketchbook but I will do 36" x 48" oil paintings if these become successful. This is the first. What do you think?
