Pansy is at once a delicate image, and one that appears to contain a sheer elemental force at play.  The ribbed veins provide a structural skeleton on which the diaphanous veils of color can flow.  The dark radius from which the lines emerge nicely functions as an off center focal point, or oculus. I also see the blue and green hues as providing a contrast to the organic formation. While I appreciate the many biomorphic designs in your portfolio on the site, there is something about the semi-transparency of this particular image that suggests a deeper space, and a compelling envelopment of biologic transformation.

I used Chaoscope and Corel PSP.  It is 1600 x 1200.
