Thank you for the comment. You're right, the piece is about erosion and taking the fresh water of the Great Lakes for granted. I like to use everyday and tounge and cheekish titles to help get my point across better.

Welcome to the site!  I enjoy the three mixed media works you’ve posted so far, and appreciate the descriptions include sand.  The eroded surface of this piece is suggestive of elemental forces and erosion, or a cool metallic patina.  I find the pale blue pigment particularly striking against the lower chroma grey.  It reads as two layers, but the analogous hues also create a smooth visual transition.   I find the title curious, and slightly humorous in its specificity of the non-objective image.  You’re gonna miss me could pertain to the weathered down, scoured surface, or be purely elegiac.
