The delight of textures that oppose one another, has long been a fascination to me; the sensual viscosity interacting with the wispy, ethereal textures, inviting the viewer to participate in the tactile sensory sensations evoked by the artwork.

Resident Curator's comment: "A Study of Opposites is appealing because of this tension, and friction between the complementary colors. The fluid crimson shape opposes the softer blue-green swirls, but all of the forms remain liquid and sinuous."
