(Abstract Series) II

The image size of this painting is 30 x 40 inches and it was painted on a coating of plaster over canvas. It is entitled II, as it is the second in a series of six paintings. Organic forms connect the different images in the series. Much of the paint handling in this picture was inspired by responding to textural variations in the plaster. Changes in light at different times of day bring out interesting color relationships, and a rich feeling of terrain or landscape in the background.
