Olivia Boa, young painter been born in 1981 in the region on the Yvelines, France, was attracted by the world of the arts, most specifically painting, at a very early age.
She begins her formation at 10 years old, with the painter Yves Armani who taught her all the basics. At the age of her 14, Olivia pursues her work and her researches in painting in a self-taught way.
In 1998, Olivia decides to leave the conventional structures of the academic painting, to turn into abstract art.
In 2011, she works on the concept of "generations" in arts, namely painting a subject on various energy perceptions. For example about a landscape, Olivia Boa is going to draw its wholw ‘yin’ energy to transmit it on a piece, while realizing simultaneously another piece of the same landscape but in a ‘yang’ energy, forming therefore a linen couple representing the same landscape and being entitled: the first generation.
A second generation, collected in rectilinear geometrical structures is added there; and the third one which is completely abstracted. Three generations representing the same subject are declined under various energy structures.
Along wiht her job as a painter, Olivia Boa is also a therapist, and it is in 2012 that the artist offers us a subtle mixture of her work in therapy and the abstract arts.
Olivia Boa actually showcases a whole pallet of feelings, sensations, observations received during consultation and transcribes it in the form of colors, movement, textures and of forms on a painting.
The project of a bilingual 48 pages (French/English) catalog is in progress to be able to describe a part of her work she will call: "Psychological Work " And especially to promote the artist on an international level.
