Portraits

Portraiture is a ubiquitous art form. I have always loved making them; from one of my earliest (Richard, 1957, when I was 15 y.o.) to one of my later images (Sara & Anna, 2012). My library has many monograms of portrait photographers (some of my favorites; Nadar, Lewis Carroll, Richard Avedon, Irving Penn). With the exception of three of images (Jamie & Max, Art Farmer, Chamber Music Northwest musicians) the subjects are family, friends and neighbors...
