Trying to find out a visual "alphabet", I choose two items: i) Fragments as casual, ephemeral beings, and ii) Flows as the unknown, conscious and subconscious states of life, without clear beginnings and ends. I some works I prefer to use black and white as the stage of those visual stories. So the serie of Flows and Fragments was created.

Curator’s Comments:

Lilies came up by chance on the site today, and I was drawn in by the tangled tentacles of sinuous blue violet lines weaving in and out of the fragmented ground.  The smaller shapes against the light background appear to recede in the picture plane, despite their higher contrast values.  It’s as if the viewer is positioned in an aerial vantage point, looking down at a network of organic flowing shapes.  The jewel tones throughout the composition provide an interesting contrast in degree of saturation, while unifying the work with a smaller range of actual hues.  I also see the gradation of shadow and chiaroscuro within the stretched shapes as suggesting a ribbon like, or tubular entity.  Your comments on the visual vocabulary you’ve developed offer us insights into a personalized and expressive narrative, but I think the piece also functions well on a purely formal basis.
