Curator’s Comment:
There’s an enigmatic softness to this work created by the shadowy edges. While similar surfaces and tonal variations are evident in your other works posted, this one has an edgier quality, as the wires provide an artificial construct to the organic forms of the birds. I particularly like the silhouetted bird on the far left- his contour is more abstracted, and unique, while the others slightly idealized. I also enjoy how the birds form small groupings, and are not equidistant on the wire. It would be nice to see more of these that experiment with the interval of negative space between them.
