The layering of traditional media with vellum in your work arrives at elegant, ethereal images.  But I must admit I find the bold stripes combined with a more restrained architectural element very refreshing in this piece. Rather than sublimating the drawn representational structures, the bracing pink translucent stripes almost obliterate the first image from view.  The effect is entrancing, as I have to observe both layers simultaneously.  In some of your other works, which I still like very much, my eyes move back and forth from discernable elements to subtle passages of articulated wash throughout the works.  Back stair evokes a literal passage that is eroded, and dissolved into memory and space.
