Curator’s Comments:
I’m not exactly sure what I’m viewing in these seemingly digitally generated images. Somewhat minimal in nature, there’s also the sensation of viewing a scientific or biological process arrested during kinesis. This glowing green piece (Card 06) is especially provocative with its radiating bull’s-eye, off-center in the picture plane. The repetition of circular shapes just off the perimeter of the largest circle suggests a symbiotic transfer of energy, or cellular growth. The overall grainy pattern of the picture, aside from the focused center, also reminds me of electromagnetic static. Card 08 is similarly composed compositionally, but the intense burst of light in the center and replicated echo coming off the middle are even less centrally focused like a mandala. They are more like sunspots- the fatigued afterimage of an infinitely more brilliant source.
From NY to the U.K., the most comprehensive and respected source for income & exhibition opportunities.
