This is just a 5 x 5 canvas with acrylics. This is not my favorite by far but can't really explain what I don't like about it. The bird looks fairly close to the picture I painted it from.

I like the composition. Now see, you put some shadows on the branches. But no where else. That's why the bird looks flat. How could the flowers which face the left be so light, if the branch has shadows on the left?
