Cherry Cake is lighthearted and imaginative, with an uplifting color palette.  Vertically layered in sections, as its title suggests, the decorative blue motif on the left edge connects the varying elements of flight and fantasy.  The more erratically scribbled pink lines provide a welcome foil to the carefully articulated dancing girls.  The winged insects also echo the circular trajectories of their contoured skirts.  I enjoy the limited range of colors in this mixed media print, and the value contrast which incorporates open areas of white to help organize the sections.  It is both straightforward and captivating in its presentation of unlikely juxtapositions. Upon looking back through your other works I recognize I have commented on your pieces before, and I have enjoyed your play between ordered and chaotic marks.  The fluid dexterity between media is also admirable.
