Mythbuilding takes as its central motif, one of Scotland’s most recognizable icons; the castle. Steeped in a thousand years of often brutal history, ancient Glamis (pronounced Glams) stands as a baleful sentinel to the country’s brooding march through the ages.
The soaring architectural fantasy of the castle’s towers and turrets lend it a fantastical presence of enduring gothic romance; its unknowable origins and the impenetrable veil of mythology that has built around it, weave an enigmatic allure around the first time visitor; while legends of its hauntings, secrets, monsters and lost chambers secure its reputation as a place of the darkest enchantment.
The eery, red light, glowing from one of the windows high up in the castle's forest of turrets has undertones of the macabre.
