Thank you for the insights into your process and ideas Dennis (and for the flattering words about me).  I do think you should make some kinetic- if not by adding motorized parts, allow for cantilevered balance rather than secure attachment of the various parts.

I didn't even notice the spelling of aluminum.  Funny how your mind reads what it expects.

I sure misspelled 'welded' and 'aluminum' in my description. Most of my thoughts on sculpture circulate from the base element of line in a pure state. To me this suggests direction, movement, mechcanics, kinetics, distance, and demands a balance. Hence I included the finials as a balance. I could easily make this a real kinetic sculpture , however, I would be pressing the intellect button on viewers. As things are, I am finding it difficult for people to understand what I am trying to accomplish, let alone myself.  Again, line to me is everything. From a point to a line, to a side view of a line which becomes a plane. The work becomes a recipe of the basic elements and certainly could introduce other thoughts. Currently, I am designing a wall hung heart. I do find it strange that I just finished Flying Lovers and I am now working on a heart, a symbol of love.

Kristen, thank you for your comment a really do appreciate it. I see you as my "art psychologist and critique commentary". You are obviously a very intelligent person. Thank you again and have a wonderful holiday. All the best.... Dennis.
