There’s no drug like nostalgia. (there is a phrase “To Warm Tha’s Cockles”. I explored the nature of this creature, using it as a figurative point for the adhesion of nostalgia. This is a creature that sits strangely well in this waterless theme, the way in which the creature must open and close its shell. I worked with the idea of thematic enhancement – using the abrasive colour scheme, oppressive towards the warm tones, to force a similar subject of using said cockles within a recipe. The seaside knowledge of warm cockles infact being the hardest to pry open, hopefully offers another perspective on the topic.) But I’ll try to find one.
