Frozen Lake

plein air field study -- oil on canvas -- 12x24".

I believe I painted this at Banks Township Park. It was done on the afternoon of January 18, 2010. And this is the first time I ever tried using this format (12x24"). I was mesmerized by the pool of semi-frozen water in the foreground. That's looking west, over Lake Michigan.
