James MacMahon - Love the comparison, gave me a new name to check out, and personally I think its due to the busyness in both pieces. It effects the piece as a whole, in way that's similar to patterning but not quite to that degree that I like.

Julie Keller - Thanks for the kind words, I tried to go for a topographical effect with it and the green line represented the sources underneath, similar to the idea of a mining area being the only place on the surface where a mineral is present, because its being mined there, but underneath said mineral is ever present, everywhere. Thats kind of the idea behind the inclusion of the green line.

mind boggling!  the letters seem to have hidden meaning.  i like the sepia quality and eye bounce that occurs around the somewhat larger black shapes. ancient feel even though i feel like i'm in a modern airplane looking down.

Somehow reminds me of Albright's painting of Dorian Gray.
