Curator’s Comments:
Ever since belonging to the site, I’ve admired your fluid dexterity with media and figural abstraction. Sistine Chapel is no less surprising and enigmatic in its layered physiological associations and formal design. The ambiguous biomorphic entitles float through the red space as primal (plasma) related entities. The breaking up or merger of what appear to be cellular organizations certainly falls into the creation story referenced in the work’s title, though from a more scientific reference point. The amorphous grey interiors of the shapes are ghostly, suggesting fading bodies or metaphasis of corporeal being. I can’t make out specific subject matter. Indeed, the cloud like formations seem somewhat randomly generated, though I slowly make out an embryonic head, arms, etc.
Thanks K.
