Curator’s Comments:
I was enticed into the landscape entitled Glendun, enjoying the visual tumble of the yellow-green grassy plane into the shallow creek. I also appreciate the color temperature shift between the warm brown rocks on the ground turning to cooler gray hues when they reach the water. The slight diagonal tilt of the formation on the bottom right nicely anchors the composition, and counterbalances the opposing direction of the broad slope on the left. The more muted trees in the background create a soft contrast to the higher chroma and gestural marks in the foreground. I have admired your classical handling of landscape in the past, and am glad I took another look at this piece today. I also hope you continue to post new work on the site.
