Curator’s Comments:

While I sense a minimalist aesthetic dominant throughout most of your compositions, Hydrogen is most intriguing to me in its allusion to an amorphous mass. The specificity of the biomorphic shape is noteworthy in its elemental representation of gas rather than the perfect circle as a symbol of the chemical element.  The adjacent piece titled Malkuth superficially appears to share this scientific representation.  But if I interpret the title correctly, it is meant to refer to a sephirot, or emanation in the Kabbalistic Tree of Life.  Despite the initial departure of science and religion faith, I find it meaningful for there to be mystical relationships between pure form/geometry and representation of the natural world.  Seeing your other works through this lens gives me greater appreciation of the economic design choices.
