Welcome to the site!  While only viewing a representative sampling of your individual works so far, I’m awestruck by the architectural rendering of the thousands of shelter dogs coupled with the large scale finished paintings.  The sheer volume of images is almost overwhelming, but potently speaks to a larger issue and social commitment.  I imagine such an installation would have a powerful impact on viewers, particularly if accompanied by documentation on the scope and despairing nature of their collective plight. The full color 8’x 8’ portraits – An Act of Dog Inc- have distinct arresting expressions and emotional presence.  But I’m most drawn to the work of the Chihuahua in progress that only employs sepia tones.  There is a transient bearing to that piece that resonates with a fleeting or pressing sense of time.  This is partially accomplished by gestural movement. It also imbues a small dog with a commanding and sentient dignity.  I’m frequently bolstered by works that draw attention to social causes, and it’s most satisfying to see technically sound work that draws viewers in through unadulterated subjects that are true to the artist’s oeuvre. No words or titles are required to understand the context of these paintings.
