Trying to find out a visual "alphabet", I choose two items: i) Fragments as casual, ephemeral beings, and ii) Flows as the unknown, conscious and subconscious states of life, without clear beginnings and ends. I some works I prefer to use black and white as the stage of those visual stories. So the serie of Flows and Fragments was created.

Curator’s Comments:

For me this miniature series of Flows and Fragments appears to create a symbiotic relationship between linear and tonal elements rather than establish an obviously pictographic alphabet.  Nevertheless, I appreciate their appealing fluid sensibilities, and your desire to develop a strong signature style or vocabulary of form.  I do perceive the image source as a biologic entity, and the cropping of continuous looping stands does intimate a malleable state of consciousness.   I’m also very intrigued by the small inclusions of gold elements, which punctuate the path of orange pebble like shapes.  They slow down the visual movement through the composition, and suggest an alchemical transformation taking place.  I also respond to the more open space in the painting titled Seaside.  Without the active black textural ground it possesses a soothing movement that is guided by opposing diagonal compositional channels.  In the context of the title the white fragments call to mind sea foam or algae, without resorting to straight illustration- opening the possibility into a metaphysical reading.   These works appear simply constructed through limited shapes and color at first glance.  But the more I look at them the more I like them and appreciate their shifting incarnations.
