Pier at Killeenaran, windy day

The day I painted this was bright and sunny and the clouds raced across the sky. The water moved quickly through the inlet and I had to paint very fast as the tide rose. This pier at Killeenaran, Co. Galway, Ireland, is a popular swimming spot and all the locals make great use of it at high tide in fine weather. Pen and ink, white gouache, watercolor.
