I love the shadows of the trees, the light, the feel of the buildings and the color that surrounds. The image of St Benedict is well done and balances the painting.
Thank you for your incisive critique. I like your "disquieting" assessment. I am always intrigued with the David Lynchian notion of turmoil lurking beneath the veneer.
your work is disquieting. St Benedict appears to be calmer although I'm sitting here squinting to see if there is something ominous, barely visible in the window. love the potentially strangling, organic shadows on the building in contrast to the explosion of color in the background. your work is beautifully rendered.
