La Dia De Los Muertos: Damajagua Main altar and details

Altar built to honor my sister in law and her husband who where taken from us in a flash flood at Damajagua Falls in the Dominican Republic. My two nephews survived the flood.
The imagery is taken mostly from my interpretation of the local spiritual traditions of the Dominican Republic, coupled with the theme of their memorial service, enduring love and hope for the future.
The altar is currently in an exhibit at Artworks Downtown in San Rafael, CA
