this series reminds me of a photo in an Issey Miyake book, "East Meets West" of 3 Japanese men whose entire bodies are exquisitely tatooed or of African tribes who cut and scar themselves in careful designs, a form of beauty...the body as canvas. i know your intention is something darker, but i can't get past how BEAUTIFUL these are.
